چکیده

The GOLD reference system for active RFID is a reader and a tag designed according to the latest version of the ISO 18000-7 standard for active RFID. Conformance and interoperability testing of different commercial readers and tags, require a stimulus from a common source that completely conforms to the standard, which is also programmable allowing alteration of the signal parameters within the standard and provides the transparency that is lacking in test systems today. The GOLD reader is a signal generator from National Instruments which is programmed in Labview 8.2 to provide the remote access capability through a simple user interface. The GOLD tag is the command detector circuit designed to monitor commands from commercial readers at 433 MHz and trigger a signal generator from Rhodes-Schwarz (R& S) at the appropriate time emulating a tag’s response. The GOLD reader allows the transmission of commands as and when required verifying that the commercial tag will respond to all mandatory commands irrespective of the multiple solutions employed when designing a commercial tag, without violating the standard. The GOLD tag is particularly useful to verify that a commercial reader is correctly able to detect data transmitted by a tag.

Improvement of Anti-Collision Performance for the ISO 18000-6 Type B RFID System

This paper proposes a novel method to suppress tag collision in the ISO 18000-6 type B protocol which is one of the standard protocols of UHF RFID systems. The anti-collision performance in terms of the total identification time is improved by reducing the length of bits and the number of transmission commands required for multi-tag identification in the ISO 18000-6 type B protocol. Simulation ...

Performance Comparison of ISO 18000-3 and CDMA Based RFID Tag Anti-Collision Protocols

RFID systems have the potential to revolutionize and affect a wide variety of industries and applications. At the same time it still faces several hurdles in its adoption. Tag anti-collision is one such significant performance issue in RFID systems which determine the identification speed. This paper presents the performance comparison and analysis of the standardized ISO 18000-3 Mode 1, ISO 18...

An Efficient Data Collection Algorithm of Active RFID Tags for Ubiquitous Services in Maritime Logistics

This paper proposes an efficient data collection algorithm for active RFID systems. The algorithm can be used for ubiquitous services in maritime logistics adaptation. Conventional algorithms use slotted aloha in ISO 18000-7 or CSMA/CA in DASH 7 mode 2. They show poor throughput performance because they collect all tags at every wakeup round. The proposed algorithm, adapted to maritime logistic...

Security Issues for ISO 18000-6 Type C RFID: Identification and Solutions

Radio frequency identification (RFID) devices have matured to the point where they are now expanding beyond the retail supply chain and public transit fare management systems. RFID technology provides a low power and economical method to link remote sensors to larger control systems. In these cases, the RFID protocols provide the communication link between the sensor and larger control system. ...
